In case of high power delivery it is important to choose the largest feasible core size. On the other hand, single mode fibers will become bending sensitive at some short wavelength edge - the larger the core size, the longer wavelength the bend loss induced edge will have.
Please refer to the below chart in order to choose the most appropriate fiber for a given wavelength.
For more specific bend loss and attenuation level information, please refer to individual datasheets.
Please note that any of the above fibers will be excellent for long wavelength guidance (no long wavelength bending loss edges), though you would typically benefit from moving to a larger core size.
Applications includes:
-
High power delivery
-
Short pulse delivery
-
Mode filtering
-
Laser pigtailing
-
Multiwavelength guidance
-
Broadband interferometry
