The wide spectral coverage of the SuperK sources lends the technology for many applications in test and measurement. Applications such as optical fiber characterisation, fiber-optic component testing and material analysis are just few of the fields SuperK technology has been employed. With the SuperK being ultra-broadband and the excellent single-mode, Gaussian beam characteristics, the light can be easily focussed, expanded, fiber coupled and manipulated by conventional optics to allow maximum flexibility for test and measurement applications.
